After breakfast at your riad, continue your 6 Days Fes to Marrakech Tour by diving into the living history of Fes, Morocco’s spiritual and cultural capital. Stroll through the labyrinthine alleys of the medina, visiting landmarks such as the Al Karaouine Mosque and University—the oldest in the world—along with the tanneries and Najjarine Fountain.

After lunch, venture beyond the medina walls to admire the grand Royal Palace Gate, explore the historic Jewish Quarter (Mellah), and visit a local pottery cooperative. End your day with a panoramic view over the city from one of its hilltop fortresses. Overnight stay in a traditional riad in the old medina.

Day 2:Fes – Ifrane – Midelt – Sahara Desert

Following breakfast, set out across the Middle Atlas Mountains, stopping first at Ifrane, known as the “Switzerland of Morocco” for its alpine architecture and clean air. Continue to the Cedar Forest near Azrou, home to playful Barbary macaques. Drive through scenic Berber towns such as Timhdit, Zaida, and Midelt, before reaching Errachidia, where palm groves create an oasis of life. Pass through Erfoud, famous for its fossil workshops, before arriving in Merzouga, gateway to the Sahara Desert. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at a hotel near the dunes.

Day 3:Discovering the Magic of Merzouga

Today is dedicated to exploring the wonders of Erg Chebbi and its surrounding desert villages. Visit Khamlia, known for its Gnawa musicians, and stop by nomadic families eager to share their traditions. Explore the remnants of old French mines near the Algerian border before returning to town for a delicious local specialty—Berber pizza.

In the afternoon, begin your camel trekking adventure into the desert, guided by experienced camel men. As the sun sets over the dunes, enjoy breathtaking views before reaching your desert camp. Savor a traditional dinner, listen to Berber music by the fire, and fall asleep under a brilliant starlit sky.

Day 4:Sahara – Todra Gorge – Dades Valley – Ouarzazate

After breakfast, depart for Rissani, once the trading hub of ancient caravans from Timbuktu. Wander through its vibrant market before driving through semi-desert landscapes toward Tinghir and the spectacular Todra Gorge, where towering cliffs rise dramatically on either side. After lunch, continue to the Dades Valley and the City of Roses, known for producing fragrant rose-based products. Follow the scenic Road of a Thousand Kasbahs to reach Ouarzazate, the “Hollywood of Africa.” Visit the Atlas Film Studios, where films like Gladiator and The Mummy were shot. Dinner and overnight stay in a comfortable hotel.

Day 5:Ouarzazate ⇢ Aït Ben Haddou ⇢ High Atlas Mountains ⇢ Telouet ⇢ Marrakech

After breakfast, journey to the stunning Ksar Aït Ben Haddou, Morocco’s most famous kasbah and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Explore its mudbrick architecture and panoramic views before continuing to Kasbah Telouet, the once-glorious palace of the Glaoui family.

Drive across the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260 m), enjoying spectacular mountain views along the way. Arrive in Marrakech by evening and settle into your riad for an overnight stay.
